Day-wise Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Dehradun and transfer to Nainital (287 km / 6 to 7 hrs approx.)
On arrival at Dehradun Airport or Railway Station you will be transferred to Nainital. Upon arrival at Nainital Check-in at the Hotel.
Nainital is a Himalayan resort town in the Kumaon region of India’s Uttarakhand state, at an elevation of roughly 2,000m. Formerly a British hill station, it’s set around Nainital Lake, a popular boating site with Naina Devi Hindu Temple on its north shore. A cable car runs to Snow View observation point (at 2,270m), with vistas over the town and mountains including Nanda Dev.
Nainital is not only a famous tourist destination but is also known for its prestigious educational institutions and schools, which have stood since the British era. Rest of the day free for relaxation. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the hotel. (D)
DAY 2: Nainital Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed with a half day sightseeing trip of Nainital starting with Boating in the famous Naini lake (Direct payment), and a visit to the holy Naina Devi temple, Cave Garden, View by cable car (Optional – on direct payment) Later walk through the Mall. Rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the hotel. (BD)
DAY 3: Nainital – Jim Corbett (70 km / 2 hrs. approx.)
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Jim Corbett, Enroute visit Corbett Museum.
Named after the famous hunter, author and conservationist, Jim Corbett, the Corbett National Park is one of the finest tiger habitats in India. It is a large valley with forested ridges running through it. The main animals found in the national park include tiger, elephant, chital, sambar, nilgai, gharial, King Cobra, flying fox, and nearly 600 species of birds. Upon arrival at Corbett Check-in at the Hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the hotel. (BD)
DAY 3: Safari in Jim Corbett National Park (To Be booked Directly)
In the morning, board the Jeep waiting for you outside the hotel and proceed for a safari in the Jim Corbett National Park. This park, established in the year 1936, is the oldest national park in the country. Previously known as Hailey National Park, this park was renamed as Corbett National Park after the name of Jim Corbett – an eminent naturalist. A gem of attraction of Uttarakhand, this park together with Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary and Reserve Forest areas forms one of the world’s largest tiger reserves in the world. More than half of this park is covered with moist deciduous forests, which include sal, pipal, rohini and mango trees.
After safari, return to the hotel and relish a palatable breakfast. Rest of the day is for leisure activities. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the hotel. (BD)
DAY 3: Jim Corbett – Dehradun airport (232 km /4-5 hrs approx.)
After breakfast, we say our goodbyes and proceed to airport/railway station (Dehradun) for onward destination.
Hit the road to the airport. Board our flight back home reminiscing the wonderful memories of the holiday and of course start planning the next trip. (B)
